These are the basic necessities for listening to Radio Ananda:
- An Internet Connection of at least 48 kbps. Our music stream is 32 kbps & your connection needs a little extra capacity to play the radio stream. Therefore you need a moderately fast Dialup, Cable or DSL connection.
- Sound Hardware in your computer. You may have built in Speakers, or somewhere on the front or back there may be a small round 1/8"(2.5 mm) hole, probably with a headphone symbol. There might already be Speakers or Headphones plugged into this, or you will need to plug them in to listen. If you can hear sounds, it's working.
- Player Software capable of playing a shoutcast .mp3 stream. For instance: XMPlay, Windows Media Player, ITunes, Real Player, or any number of other players that you might already have installed, and configured to play our stream.

XMPlay is a malware-free, compact, 5-star rated freeware program with No ads! We recommend our configured version of XMPlay for an easy, simple and fast way of listening to Radio Ananda with a Windows computer. Our version will not change the settings of other players.
To download, click the picture to the right. Most browsers will put downloaded install programs on the desktop. So you may see an icon on your desktop, like Install Radio Ananda.exe below. Double click it to start the Install Wizard. Just accept the defaults unless you know what you're doing. At the end of the install process, a Radio Ananda icon will be on your desktop. Double click it to play Radio Ananda. Please Don't change any player settings unless you go to the XMPlay Beginner's Guide in order to understand what you're doing.
